Koyo, the bearing brand of JTEKT Corporation, is introducing its new range of “JHS-3i” high performance Pillow Blocks.

With a legacy of Quality and Performance, Koyo Ball Bearing Units have been known to be the most reliable products when it comes to accuracy and load resistance. The new generation of JHS-3i Pillow Blocks introduces further enhancements in the performance through improvements in the housing, sealing and the applied grease.

The first improvement is realized in the housing design which now has a flat bottom face which secures a more accurate and firm mounting of the pillow block on the frame, resulting in better rigidity and the elimination of vibrations.

The second improvement is realized through an improved seal design with an inwards facing lip which allows grease to flow back towards the balls and raceway during operation, thereby improving lubrication performance and extending bearing life.

The third improvement is in the newly applied high quality Lithium Complex grease providing several improvements, including a wider allowable temperature and speed range, resistance against water contamination, vibration and high pressure, as well as heavy- & shock loads. To summarize: the Koyo JHS-3i Pillow Blocks provide a better performance and longer bearing life under a variety of high demanding operating conditions.

Qu’est-ce qu’un roulement à rouleaux sphériques?

Les roulements à rouleaux sphériques ont une capacité de charge importante et peuvent s’auto-aligner. Ces roulements sont adaptés pour des applications à faible ou moyenne vitesse qui impliquent de fortes conditions de charge et des chocs. Les roulements à rouleaux sphériques sont constitués de deux rangées de rouleaux, ceci leur confère des propriétés d’auto-alignement. Ils peuvent supporter des efforts radiaux et axiaux. Les rouleaux ont des profils sphériques simples ou plus complexes. La piste de la bague extérieure est sphérique afin de compenser les erreurs de positionnement de l'arbre par rapport au logement et les défauts dus à la flexion de l’arbre. Les roulements à rouleaux sphériques sont les plus adaptés pour les applications nécessitant une grande capacité de charge ou une résistance aux chocs / impacts mais les vitesses acceptables sont plus réduites. Suivant les cas, ils peuvent être adaptés à des vitesses et des conditions de charges très importantes ou une lubrification dégradée.
